FPJ'S FIRST VENTURE AS A MOVIE PRODUCER
Kislap Graphic Magazine/ December 23, 1959
In late 1959, Fernando Poe Jr. finally realized his dream of becoming a movie producer when he and buddy, actor Zaldy Zshornack pooled their resources and formed the Poe-Zshornack Productions. Their initial venture was Walang Daigdig, released in 1960, a popular radio serial by Jose Miranda Cruz. The two young actors were then under contract with their respective movie studios but their contracts allowed them to produce pictures.

Having his own movie company has always been an obsession of Ronnie since the time his famous father died in 1951. He wanted to continue where Poe Sr. left off. Financial problems however prevented him from producing movies under the family-owned Royal Productions.
The Poe-Zshornack Productions was able to produce two more blockbuster movies in 1961, Kilabot sa Barilan and Pasong Diablo, before folding up unexpectedly and prematurely. In 1962, Poe decided to go solo and formed his own movie outfit, FPJ Productions with its maiden offering, Batang Maynila.
Walang Daigdig (1960)- Stars Fernando Poe, Jr., Zaldy Zshornack, Cielito Legaspi, Ben Perez, Rodolfo Cristobal and Ramon Revilla/ Directed by Pablo Santiago
Kilabot sa Barilan (1961)- Stars Fernando Poe, Jr., Zaldy Zshornack, Aura Aurea, Perla Bautista, Lyn D' Amour and Rodolfo Cristobal/ Introducing Tony Ferrer/ Directed by Alex Sunga

REPLAYS ON CINEMA FPJ--- AGAIN!!!
Fans love to see more of the King's other movies---
Yesterday's featured movie in Channel 2's Cinema FPJ was Hindi Pa Tapos ang Laban, the second time that a movie was replayed. Though it's a common practice in TV networks to show replays, I hope that ABS-CBN management can do something about this. There are still lots of other FPJ movies in the actor's library that they can show and air, movies like--- King, Lihim ng Guadalupe, Ang Pangalan:Mediavillo, Panday 3 and 4, Kumander Ulupong, Sto. Cristo, Nagbabagang Asero, At Muling Nagbaga ang Lupa, Andalucia, Dugo ng Bayan, Esteban, Kampana sa Sta Quiteria, Divina Gracia, Nardong Kutsero and most of his 60s black-and-white movies.
