GERRY DE LEON'S "APOLLO ROBLES" (1961): WISH LIST # 46

In 1961, Director Gerardo 'Gerry' de Leon megged Fernando Poe, Jr. in Apollo Robles. Then boxing champion Gabriel 'Flash' Elorde was tapped by De Leon to handle Poe's boxing training giving him pointers and techniques needed in the movie. Those precious tips from the boxing legend were later used and integrated by Poe in most of his movies.
