FPJ’s heart belongs to the comic industry--- Over bottles of beer, FPJ met with comic writers and artists sometime in the 80s--- photo shows, among others, Francisco V. Coching, Larry Alcala, Jim Fernandez, Tony Velasquez, Damy Velasquez … Most of FPJ movies were based on komiks serials like FV Coching’s Laban sa Lahat, Masikip ang Daigdig, Larry Alcala’s Tipin, Clodualo del Mundo’s Kamay ni Cain and Magnong Mandurukot, Virgilio Redondo’s Tatlong Baraha, Nemesio Caravana’s Sakristan Mayor and 12 Kuba , Carlo J. Caparas’Ang Panday and Totoy Bato, Pablo S. Gomez’s Alupihang Dagat, Tatak ng Alipin and Ang Kampana sa Santa Quiteria.
